Sour Cream Apple Dessert

Fall is here, we are waking up to cold crisp mornings. As you wrap your hands around a hot cup of coffee. Try this Sour Cream Apple Dessert. A dear friend Jody has shared this recipe with me. Thanks Jody for allowing me to share it with everyone. This recipe is similar to our Aunt Hilda's apple slice recipe.
Sorry this photo doesn't do justice to how good it taste. Some day me and my new camera will be the best friends.

Sour Cream Apple Dessert

2 cups flour
2 cups brown sugar
3/4 cup butter-softened
1 cup nuts(optional)
1 1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup sour cream
1 teaspoon vanilla
1 egg
2 cups apples=peeled and finely chopped

Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
In a large bowl combine flour, brown sugar and butter, blend on low speed until crumbly. Stir in the nuts. Measure out 2 3/4 cup and press in a greased 9x13 pan. To remaining mixture of flour brown sugar and butter add cinnamon, baking soda, salt sour cream, vanilla and egg. Blend well. Stir in apples. Spoon evenly over crumb mixture. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Serve with whipped topping or ice cream. ENJOY

I got this recipe when I lived in Rhode Island 15+ years ago and have made it every fall!

Enjoy my friends!!!!

It looks delicious! I love apple cake, and add to it sour cream, I know it will be very moist and tender.
Thanks for sharing!
