Highlights from the weekend

One olive or two?

Happy 30th Birthday Kristie! To celebrate Kristie's big birthday, her mom ordered a yellow cake with chocolate butter cream icing. Fondant was used for the martini glass, olives and pink dots.
Kristie's mom also placed an order for sugar cookies for the game this weekend with Oklahoma , Sooners and Texas, Longhorns. Her mom is a Sooner fan and her longtime friend is a big fan of the Longhorns. The tradition has been for years when both teams play one another at the Cotton bowl, they have a big football party. Cookies by day and birthday cake by night.

Another big event this weekend, was Teresa and Brian's autumn wedding.
The wedding cake was a 5 tier square with layers of our traditional white, pineapple, and strawberry cake. The cake was decorated with scroll work in buttercream. Completing the final touch of each tier we added a deep rich warm brown satin ribbon. The beautiful cake top arrangement in two tone orange roses was created by Jessica's Floral.
The grooms cake flavor was chocolate fudge with chocolate buttercream icing. Chocolate fudge icing was used for the detail scrolling, beading and the initial " B". As a young boy growing up Brain's favorite snack was Hostess Ding Dongs, so we incorporated a few to his grooms cake.
Their wedding ceremony took place outside at the south end of Red Oak's Municipal Center, followed by an indoor reception.
Congratulations Teresa and Brian! We wish you both a lifetime of happiness and wonderful memories!

Confectionately yours,

Jeannie
